Solstice is a word derived from the Latin, sol, (sun) and stesis, (to stand still). This year the winter solstice occurs on December 22. At the time of the solstice, the Sun’s arc halts its decent toward the horizon and begins to climb back higher in the sky. At the winter solstice, we are grateful for the sun’s returning.
A color catalogue accompanies the exhibition. Call 970 544 5705 or e-mail Art@FloriaGallery.com to request a copy.
