Julie Baker Fine Art: is pleased to announce it’s current show, A Tree is Nice, in conjunction with the SYRCL Environmental Film Festival. The show will feature the works of contemporary artists Alexandra Eldridge, Waddy Armstrong, Elaine Coombs, Maysey Craddock, Theresa Ganz, Meghan Gerety, Ivy Jacobsen, Andrew Millner, Dalton Paley, A.D. Peters, Chris Richter, Michelle Stitz, Theresa Ganz and Tahiti Pehrson. The artists will explore traditional themes of nature in different mediums including drawing, paper cut out, painting, and photography.
In this show we honor the tree as life-giving and sustaining. “Trees are very nice. They fill up the sky. They go beside the rivers and down the valleys. They make everything beautiful. A tree is nice to plant. Everyday for years and years you watch the little tree grow. You say to people, ‘I planted that tree’.” Excerpt from the children’s book, A Tree is Nice by Janice May Udry.
